Thanks for this considered comment Phil. You are dead right about my directions in photography of fences since I joined this group. I have many shots of this fence with the tree and always a horse going back many years and always it is the wonderful curve of the whole length of the fence that was important, not this small gaped section but... as you say -another way of looking at things when in this group. Glad you liked it.

Hi Rosa, it was a mornings photography full of wonder in this very fast cold snap of snow and hoarfrost. This one is at least the sixth I have posted from that walk. This spot some 50mins walk away from my home is one that I have captured often as it has a great curving fence and lone tree. Yes, I took a bee-line for the fence though and the other ingredients fitted in nice here. Glad you enjoyed it.

The light in this shot is glorious! I love the lone tree and the horse is perfectly placed in the gap between the fence posts. I don't find the fence at all intrusive...........and I would like it even if this was not a "Fence Friday" image. Nice work Herb!
