The rosebay willowherb is a lovely and colourful foreground for this calendar photo:-) I'm sure a calendar made from your photos would beat many shop bought ones. HFF, Herb!

Hi Gudrun, yes I recognised that these colourful flowers made this scene. I had forgotten what they were called-thanks for the reminder. I have often thought that a personal calendar might be nice but also quite vain perhaps! Like you, I have often seen shop calender's where my wife exclaimed 'your photos of this place are better'! Ah vanity -a real sin! Thanks for your nice thoughts my friend.

Sometimes (with special offers) it's cheaper to make your own calendar! It's so easy doing everything online and getting it sent to your house.

I really like this one! Sure, the purple foxgloves make the colour, but the master touch is those few bright green leaves in the immediate foreground which give a starting point right at your feet, so you become more attached to the picture.

July in all her glory! A beautiful image Herb and so much to enjoy. Romantic and serene mood and perfect for a calendar image. I must admit we have our own calendars printed for the family so that they can enjoy the places we liked the most. HFF and have a good weekend

Hi Carol and thanks for this comment. It was indeed a great spot and fine little walk along the edge of the lake then back up to the castle car-park. We could have come by the little lake ferry though as seen in the PiP of the pier. I had never thought have having my own calendar printed but it is food for thought.
