This was just the beginning of our recent snow storm. This chap had an important mission. Click on the PiP's to see what that was.

Thanks Erhard. My first PiP experiment here! I could not understand, nor did I ask, to why he was trying to go up this narrow twisting lane in such a van. In the end, I and another foul weather walker had to help shove him away from the wall and out of the snow. This happened with the same truck a further two times before it escaped the lane altogether. Minutes later, and it would have been impossible as the wind and snows got much worst.

Thank you Rolf. Glad you liked it. My pleasure to be a member of the Pip group, I never realised so many people did this.

Thanks John. I set off in bright sunshine -that changed after five minutes! It had began to get very windy about a half mile from here but this was supposedly the easiest way home. I saw the red van from a distance and shook my head when I saw the predicament he had gotten into. Just a couple of hundred yards and ten minutes later I got this one: 'The Beast from the East' www.ipernity.com/doc/1081863/46321176 ,which you have already seen. As said above, all makes for interesting photography but - one has to know when to call it a day.
Spring and Easter dafs to look forward to now. Cheers, Herb

Oh my goodness! Can't believe that this was just a few days ago and now here, all the snow is gone and is so warm! Great picture and PiP's :)

Yes, almost all gone here but we still see some old drifts on the roads and more on our moors from my window. Warm .... I don't know that word anymore. My Spanish holiday just a few weeks backs feels like years ago. Roll on Summer -I've had enough of this now! ~Herb
