Interesting you say that, We "seem" ok no smoke YET but Early. Due South is in fact on looking is in the area of the rock on the left in the foreground . Hiring a car gave me more legs than the bus so I was able to do things people in the bus just would not do.Yes a bit more to come.

I almost regret writing other than" YET " the very strong winds are certainly back and has not been another good day to get on top of the fire.

Splendid and soothing blue hour.

The reason its blue in this case was not blue hour but the rising moon. Most certainly well into the black of night, just shows how much influence the moon has on the night sky.

Thanks I got the shot after the moon rise I had another camera on the tripod of another person who came out to try and see how to take photos at night.

I was not able to go out first night the winds where just too strong. Not far out of town which is behind me.

Thanks Toz why I hired a car as there was no clouds but a moon so it was always going to be worth the trip out.
