Taken with a D3500 testing out its night ability Taken with my 14mm prime lens 21mm view point. If you look close on the left and end you can see the milky way and just above the city lights to the right you can make out Small Magellanic cloud.

Nice to see a night shot taken on this popular camera. Without doubt it will make a great present, especially to somebody who is willing to learn how to use it. As usual taken with the expertise of somebody who know how here. That 14mm of yours is a great lens for sure. I am curios as to why you did not try this with the native 18-140 lens you have for this camera.
