New life is starting the smell of burnt is still very much in the area even though we got some "rain" it would not wet the lawn it was that much.

Leo W, Erhard Bernstein, ColRam, gezginruh and 20 other people have particularly liked this photo

Well taken Steve. Very sorry, on the news tonight, to see another fire running in WA. HFF regardless and let's hope for useful rain soon.

yes and it stopped the big planes taking off, I noted the smoke when I went to pick my wife from work. the trees in Australia show a staggering resistance to the effects of the fire, more than we can say for the animal life. HFF nice to see your photo smoke free.

The area still has the overriding small of "burnt" but it looks brighter cleaner not so much grey ash every where. HFF from down under

All most a month on

show so well what a bit of water would do for the landscape but it is heartening to see so much improvement in just 1 month. HFF all the best for your weekend.

it most certainly will but it will not be the same as it was the trees grow back differently and retain the dead branches. HFF all the very best for your weekend.

It is a pity to see it all burned. Better days are sure to come.

A rugged blackened fence here among the burned brush. I think though judging from your othe captures that it will all recover. Well done.

HFF, have a great weekend. Herb

Nature takes back its rights, but it will certainly last before the wounds left by the fire are covered. HFF Steve.

Hi Steve

I like this picture. It really spells out what you guys have suffered.

But having said that, fire is part of nature, and a way to clear the forest of the dead material to make way for new growth.

I am sure you will get some great pictures of the black trees..

Best Wishes, HFF, and a good weekend
