It is when you think it took 11,000 hectares plus to get the colour and still burning.

Not often you see this but for a eclipse, certainly hope the fire is put out soon.

Wow! Amazing shot Steve. A shame it's because of all the dreadful fires though. Hope it rains soon...a lot! Have a good and safe weekend.

Hi Steve

As the others have said, a very interesting picture, and strange moon!
Unfortunate as it is, fires have been part of nature for a very long time, as a way to clear away all the dead material and start new growth.
As we also know, you can't stop nature!!

Best Wishes, and a good weekend

Peter part of our landscape and not much we can do about it but live with the results. yes it will change the landscape much the way the aboriginals use to do to the landscape and keep it in good stead.

The old say progress is "old" so true in this landscape. all the very best for your weekend. from down under.

And what a wonderful moon you have here Steve. Just proving that from every 'smokey' cloud there is a silver lining!

Cheers, Herb

The smoke is so great to do with out you really do not sleep easy with the smell of smoke. You just have to get use to the season... And the chance for photos like this.
