Leopard (?) frog

Leopard (?) frog
There are several species of leopard frog. I'm not sure which, or even if it might be some other species of frog.

Nouchetdu38, Jörg, micritter, Doerthe and 15 other people have particularly liked this photo

I've just had a quick look at some images on Google................and I can see why you're not sure about the ID. The markings look right.............but as you say, there are so many varieties and they're all very similar. Very confusing.

Not that it matters too much..............it's an excellent shot. You did well to spot it (no pun intended) as it's very well camouflaged!

I hope you have a pleasant weekend. Be safe!

Thank you very much, Keith. There are all kinds of wildlife experts at the university here, but I don't know any amphibian experts.
