Eastern towhee (Pipilo erythrophthalmus)

Eastern towhee (Pipilo erythrophthalmus)
The weather has become unusually cold (-10C as I write this) and snowy in Mississippi recently. Birds that we rarely see came to the feeder today.

These birds are accustomed to finding seeds on the ground. Now that is difficult because of the snow. Thank you for the visit, Malik.

Fine shot Ronald, it must be hard for the birds not used to such low temperatures.

Thank you, Doug. I think the snow on the ground is harder on them than the cold.
