Good catch there Ronald, most attractive bird, I have only ever seen a Woodpecker once in the last two years near where I am and of course no camera ready at hand.

Thank you very much, Maurice. There are many woodpeckers near my house. I think there are six species: red-headed, red-bellied, downy, hairy, pileated, and yellow-shafted flicker that I have seen here.

That surprises me. These were the common woodpeckers when I was a child in Indiana. I think they like suburban or semi-rural areas.
