No, I never thought to do that. I get plenty of trash. Most of it isn't as neat as this.

Many years ago, in Key West Florida, there was a native [ that in itself is unusual ] who watched as tourists drove by and threw trash out the car windows.
He always took down the license tag number-collected the trash [ with tag number to ID it ] ..
And he must have known someone who could run the tag .. because, this fellow packed up the trash and mailed it to the people who dumped it with this note ..
"You forgot something on your trip; wanted to be sure you got it."

Most of the civilised world are disgusted by this behaviour yet for some reason we do tolerate and are not strict enough with the offenders. I once pulled up a student at our local school for dropping litter, his reply was "We have cleaners to clear it up". That is sad.

Here, organizations such as churches and boy scout troops can sign up with the state to pick up all the trash along a certain length of road a few times a year. It is mostly the main roads that benefit. The program works pretty well, but the trash along the large majority of roads is never picked up.

Ich habe vor vielen Jahre (1975) - es gab noch eine Sovjetunion - in Kiew eine Zigarettenkippe auf die Straße geschmissen. Ein Polizist kam und forderte mich auf die Kippe wieder aufzuheben und in einen Mülleimer zu werfen. So sollte es jeder Bürger tun!
