Snowberry clearwing moth (Hemaris diffinis) on Pontederia flowers.

Snowberry clearwing moth (Hemaris diffinis) on Pontederia flowers.
These moths fly in the same way as hummingbirds. They can hover in front of a flower and extend their long curved "tongue" to reach nectar.

You know it, Pam. I only got this one and one other where the moth was in the frame and not a blur. Thanks for the visit.
