Der Marmorsaal (Kaisersaal) ist einer der schönsten Saalbauten aus der Zeit des Barocks. Die künstlerische Ausgestaltung spielt auf die Zeit der Türkenkriege an. Kaiser Karl VI. und Prinz Eugen finden darin ihre Verherrlichung. Das Deckengemälde (s. PiP) zeigt Karl VI. als Türkensieger und drückt die Hoffnung auf eine neu anbrechende Friedenszeit aus.

The Marble Hall (Kaisersaal) is one of the most beautiful halls from the Baroque period. The artistic decoration refers to the time of the Turkish wars. Emperor Charles VI and Prince Eugene find their glorification in it. The ceiling painting (see PiP) shows Charles VI as the turk war winner and expresses the hope for a new era of peace.

Mind-bendingly gorgeous. The detail and colors are incredible. I imagine that this was recently restored because it's so incredibly colorful and perfectly clean and pristine. It's so amazing that this is done--love/hate because it takes so many years to do and nobody can visit while the restoration is underway. However, you got lucky and SO ARE WE! Thank you for the exceptional photography and information! :)
