Burial ground and War Grave

Burial ground and War Grave
This burial ground was miles away from any town or even small village, and not attached to a church either. The location was wild and beautiful though and a nice resting place. In the rtight foreground there is the memorial stone, erected by the Commonwealth War Graves Commission, of J. Wagstaff.

Burial ground edited-1

A last resting place with sea views, I'd like that! It's a beautiful place you found and both photos are very well composed.

I'd like that too, Gudrun. There were quite a few isolated burial grounds in this area. It's amazing what one can find using an OS Landranger map with a scale of 2cm to 1 km.

I love these old cemeteries you find only in England and northern countries. Ours are very different.

Hello Amelia what an interesting shot of Puetchan/Patchen Graveyard nr
Glen Barr, Kintyre .. lovely old grave stones that seem to have weathered the eliments here in this exposed spot and also the grave stone of Assistant Paymaster ( Royal Naval Reserve ) J WAGSTAFF, who died Died 13/01/1915 on H.M.S. "Viknor."

Best wishes ... Steve
