Finally some leftovers on the beach and you were not lost in the crowd !!!

It was one of those days when, after a swim (which would have been madness), it would have been easy to find one's beach towels and deckchair, Marie-ckaire. ;-)

A veritable seething hoard of people, George. Time to go home. ;-)

Oh wow! That really puts the previous pic in perspective.................you weren't joking about a huge beach with hardly anyone around! A beautifully composed, clean and sharp image.

I thought I'd post this one to show that the beach really was deserted, or almost, Keith. The rooves in the foreground are beach huts - and they cost a fortune to buy or rent!.

The lifeguard's post looks a bit lost and forlorn, Ulrich. ;-)

What a beautiful beach, lots of space :-)

I rather suspect that if we went to the same spot in the height of summer it would be very crowded, Volker.

Great shot of this beach, Amelia. A soooo long time I don't see the sea.

How far away from the sea do you live, Dany? I always feel that we are miles from the sea too, but at least it only takes about 90 minutes by car to get to the nearest coast from where we live.

I searched in the web,Amelia. To Genua are 246 km. As I don't drive and have no car I should go with the train, first until Milan and then change to go to Genua. More than 90 minutes, that's sure.

A very fine shot!
I've seen this beach emptier still ... But then it was in February!

It was empty the last time we went in October, Andy. Summer holidays on British beaches are perforce short!

It isn't bad is it, Jean? But I have to say that the beach at Tentsmuir is so much nicer. ;-)

Beaches can be wonderful in the summer too, Peter - only if the weather is bad though. That's when I like going to the seaside.

I won't go here in the summer, Pam, but I might visit your beautiful little village when we next go to Norfolk. It looks idyllic from what I've seen on the Internet.

Bear in mind I am 4000 miles from it for nearly 11 years... but it was a beautiful place. My favourite time was evenings.

11 years ago there was one small basic car park that had an ice cream stall in summer ! You walked across a corner of the golf links to get to the beach. I imagine much may have changed.. but evenings were beautiful there.

Amelia club has replied to Pam J club
I don't think it will have changed much, Pam. People congregate at Wells and don't move much. I'll keep you posted. Unfortunately I won't be able to get an evening photos as we have to back to Norwich to get the youngest grandson to bed. ;-)

I love empty beaches:-) Much better than noisy crowds,-)

i couldn't agree more, Gudrun., and that's why I love the empty beaches of Norway and parts of Scotland. I expect that, in high summer, this will degenerate into a candyfloss, ice-cream and kiss me quick hats 'paradise'.

Can't see the dog, Steve, but no-one likes a crowded beach, so you could be right. ;-)

good job you got there early to bag a space.... ;-)

Five minutes later and there wasn't even enough space for a small rabbit, especially as they all cane to see Christian's life-guard. ;-)
