Of the choices given to me for likely problems with my hip, thje worse being crumbling bone which would mean a hip replacement I got off lightly.
I have some inflamation most probably caused by the onset of arthritis. This can be help with anti-inflamaterty tablets. As time goes by I may need a new hip joint but that is not certain and likely to be years away yet. With the possiblities for serious trouble on the horizon I will settle for that.
I had a visit from Ellen this afternoon and we spent a pleasant couple of hours chewing the fat in warm sunshine,A fine end to a good day which I will follow by another hour or so in the evening sunshine methinks

As I don't know yourhip history I won't be 'Clever cloggs with advice' however my longtimegirlfriend had both changed atthe sametime without problems and was cycling to town within a month.
On a different note here isa Blackbird singing in Danish to me.

Have a nice week.
I have had joint problems most of my life fro 12 years old onward. I am now 63. I have several new joints.. hands and one knee.. need a hip and also seriously some spinal work. I live with a large amount of pain all the time.
That said ,I have never ever let it stop me from doing anything and I have done A LOT of things !
Enjoy what you can.. keep up the exercise.. but concentrate on low impact stuff as much as you can.
I also know that isn't practical (lol.. speaking from experience !)
Just do what is right for you. Also though.. don't get to the stage of "grinning and bearing it" if something can be done. I know again from experience that recovery is much faster if the injury is as minimal as possible.. and that makes sense.
Take Care Mickey.
