I sat on the garden step for a while today enjoying the afternoon sun and surveying the wreckage that last years weather did to the garden. No even the poppies appeared and they are pretty much indestructable.
I will have to buckle down and start as soon as the ground is dry enough. This is what it looks like at the moment.

This was 2011 the last time I prepared the ground for sowing wildflower seeds and they weren't washed away.

This is what it looked like in June 2011 already blooming, swarming with bees and butterflies and full of exotic aromas.

I have ordered this years seed mix and just hope for a better year weather wise. Last year was a lot of hard work for no return, this year the task looks no easier but I love a challenge. At the end of last year I despaired and thought I would just grass the lot this year but I just need a hint of spring and I am ready for the struggle once more.I don't fight mother nature I try to work with her but she can be a bitch sometimes.
