You are a lucky lot - here's another lot of things that you can now learn about [unless you already know them and I'm sure there are many of you out there who do] but in case you are like me and didn't - here they are............

POLLIWOG..

Did you know that a baby frog or tadpole can also be called a Polliwog? Apparently it came from the Old English -Polywygle which is from the 'pol' meaning head and the 'wygle' meaning wiggle, so together they describe a tadpole as a wiggling head. Makes sense doesn't it?

SHOAT.....

A young pig just weaned off its mother's milk is called a Shoat.

SPAT...

The spawn or a baby oyster is called a Spat.

NYMPH....

This is a young of an insect that undergoes incomplete metamorphosis like grasshoppers, termites, ticks and cockroaches.........[NOT what you were thinking of - not a gorgeous young girl in diaphanous clothes]

EYAS............

A young nestling hawk or falcon is called an Eyas.

This is the end of the lesson - now you can go out there and win the quizzes LOL
