You must know what it's like - you go into a room to get something and you notice something else and before you know it you're doing a totally different job............

I decided to hang some pictures of the two wedding days. I'd bought some lovely large frames and decided to print some photos and hang them in my lounge. I know that Mandi misses Dogan so much, I thought it would be nice for her to be able to see a picture of him when she sits down on the sofa. I always counter balance everything and so a lovely picture of Tony and Stevie on their wedding day would up too.

Anyway, I found the frames, printed off the pictures, found the small plastic bag with all the nails and hanging hooks in, all I needed was the hammer.

I'd even found the wooden steps to stand on, so I can safely say that I hadn't climbed the step ladder if asked..............

So I went into the kitchen and just at that moment the sun was shining and it shone on the kitchen units............ somewhere along the line something had spilt and dribbled down one of the doors. So I got the cloth out and in doing so got closer to the cabinet and noticed that it needed cleaning all over really. So I got a bowl of water, some good cleaning gel, a scourer sponge and a cloth. I set to and soon the units were all gleaming, but it then showed up the fridge freezer................

I have lots of fridge magnets, so I had to take them all off so I could clean the fridge door properly. When I went to put them back, they were changed around - as you do.....

Then the other little freezer looked as if a wipe over would look good, and of course that's next to the oven. Phew........... I sat down as my back was starting to go into spasm - unfortunately the seat I sat on in the kitchen was next to the microwave and toaster....... nuff said.....

You know what came next, but I needed to change the water.... so I went and got a fresh lot of cleaning water and cleaned the said appliances. Now I had an almost clean bowl of soapy water - shame to waste it - out came the mop and I proceeded to clean the kitchen floor. I was clever enough to stop at the kitchen door, because if I hadn't........... I have a 35ft long hallway with lots of pieces of furniture and I really didn't want to carry on cleaning......

Eventually after an hour and a half I came back into the lounge and flopped onto the couch............ I sat there and thought to myself '' Now what was I going to do before all this''.............

So I had to get back up again and go into the kitchen to fetch the hammer. Both pictures are up now, my kitchen is gleaming - well some of it is - and I'm shattered.

As I said - all I wanted was a hammer..................
