Still not been out - so more boring items!!!!

Hiya folks, I haven't been outside since I last wrote, so there's not a lot I have to talk about ...... sorry!!!!

Well the weather has been all over the place, as I'm sure you can agree. One minute it's warmish, that the radiator isn't needed, then it's rainy but mild, then windy, then rainy but cold, then dry and very cold. No wonder people are coming down with flu and colds, you never know what to wear. I'm lucky in that way - I don't go out and I always keep a cardigan and a throw nearby so I can wrap up if I feel cold. So I've been watching box sets of crime stories etc, and documentaries. At the same time, I've been making more resin pendants and snowflake tree decorations!!! I had an idea of putting these snowflakes ( which are tree decorations by the way ) on the presents hanging off them next to the name tags. They can then take the snowflakes off and hang them on their Christmas tree!! Well that was one of my ideas anyway.

These are just some of the snowflakes I was talking about.......

They are a reasonable size, so shouldn't be too heavy to put on the tree. Then I've also been making pendants and earrings....

There are many more, but you'll have to access my photo albums. I wish I was more computer savvy, then I could do a site for myself and start selling these - should be good for Christmas presents which in turn - will help towards getting a car. Oh I do miss not having a car, I miss not going out to the seaside and smelling the ozone from the sea, or just watching the waves, or little children with their fishing nets explore the rock pools - little things like that. I love my home, but for the last couple of years (since my car gave up the ghost) I've been completely housebound, only to go out to go to the hospital !!!! So a car is quite essential, but never mind eh? I'll get one soon, I'm determined to do that.

Well how have you all been these last few weeks? Where did October go - and it's already half way through November!! Wow does time fly faster as you get older? I've thoroughly enjoyed seeing your pictures showing us the wonderful colours of Autumn in your part of the world. What amazing different colours there are at this time of year.

Well I've bored you enough already, so I'll pop off and get some supper. It's Friday, so it's fish and chips!!!! LOL

Very nice Jenny, and it keeps you busy. I do like the snowflakes.
Not wrong about the weather; warm one day, then literally freezing the next. We had thick fog Thursday morning, it didn't clear for hours.
I wish I lived closer, I'd take you to see the sea. I haven't seen the sea in many years now.
You keep safe too.

Thanks Fran - goodness I'd only just written it. Yes I quite like the snowflakes too. I wish you lived closer too, I'd love to greet your beautiful Ship's dog. Oh it's so silly but I do miss the sea so much.

Jenny I am with Fran. Wish we were Much closer than nearly 3000 miles! I would love to see your beautiful coast. And be more than happy to take you. As a matter of fact, I’d want Fran with us and then we could be 3 crazy ladies on a mini road trip! That would be fun!
The snowflakes are very pretty. . I think its a great idea to add to the presents.

Oh I can just imagine the chaos we'd cause if the 3 of us got together. If you liked the coast up in the North West of the UK, then you'd certainly like the coast down here.

Thanks for the comment on the snowflakes and my idea. No I didn't try the link to Etsy yet - I'm so silly, but I do have a problem starting a programme like this. It took me weeks to contact the AgeUK for help to fill in a form for help, in fact I think it was more like a year. Anyway, I've done it now. It's only since my brain problem, I can't make my own decisions, I need someone to do things with me!!! I get so angry with myself for being such a wuss (that's a weakling!!) I'll get round to it when I can get my brain round to it!.

What a slew of marvelous artwork, Jenny! :) I love them all and how wonderful that you have this pastime to master, I'm so impressed! :)

And as always, your writing is great fun to read. I enjoy learning what you're up to, even if it doesn't seem all that interesting to you. :) I am sorry, though, that you don't have a working car to get around in. Kind of pains me that your son hasn't stepped in and fixed some of these issues. Yes, he's busy but you are his mom! I think about Steve in this situation--he would move hell and earth to make his mom more comfortable. Gosh it's too bad we aren't closer. :(

Thank you so much for your wonderful comments Janet. I'm so happy that you like them. I do understand you worrying about Tony not stepping up to the plate, to help me, but he does work 6 days a week now and it takes him 2 hours to drive up here and 2 hours to drive back. It's across moorland a lot, and in weather like we've been having, it would be dangerous in places. I know I keep making excuses for him, but he's so like his dad, that I almost expect him to forget he hasn't been up here for a while. His dad would be so into his work, that anything else goes out the window. Never mind though - he'll be up here soon - his birthday is next month!!!!

Your baubles look wonderful. I think you could sell these with good profit.

About twenty years back I visited my mom at least twice a week. Well, it was a ten minutes driving, not much. I went to grocery for her, did some cleaning, and chatted with her.

She passed away ten years ago, at the age of 85. My wife says she was a true friend to her and to our boys.

You three crazy ladies - go on and take the helluva trip wherever you wish!

Thank you so much for your lovely comment Kimmo. If my son lived closer to me, then I think he would be up here more often. It's his birthday today and we've chatted but he hasn't been up to see me. Apparently the COVID he had, even though it was very mild, exhausts him and he was almost falling asleep on his feet when he was in the middle of giving a lecture !!! Not a good look eh? I used to visit my mum daily when I lived nearby and she died in 2001 and I miss her so much. She was my best friend as well as my mum.

Yes it would be fun wouldn't it - 3 crazy ladies - the only trouble is I'm not mobile anymore, so I would hold them up, but it doesn't mean I can't give as good as I get!!!!
