So sorry for being away from here folks, but I'm just not very good at juggling my time. I don't know about you - but Christmas is galloping its way towards me and I have done precious little in getting ready for it.

Apart from the worry about Mandi - who is doing well, I have had the upset of my leg, and have been spending a lot of time, going back and forth to the doctors, but I've also been trying to make some Christmas presents.....

Mandi has been doing well since she got back home, although she's been trying to do too much, and now is suffering for it. I've told her til I was blue in my face, that she has to take things slowly, after all she's had a radical hysterectomy and the doctors have been cutting, moving, stretching and then sewing up etc all her insides. They did have to take some of her intestines as it had stuck to her womb. Her large tumours were restricted to inside her uterus and that was fantastic news, because now she is free from that awful "C". The problem is that now she's home and has never been one for just lying down and resting - she feels guilty for not washing up or cleaning the house!!! It's only been just over 2 weeks since the operation!!! So I've been constantly warning her of hurting herself on the insides, and that it'll take much longer to heal. She now believes me!!! She's had to spend all day in bed with a hot water bottle!!

As for my leg - it's been getting progressively worse. It is now ulcerated and it's the whole of the front of my right leg. There is a horrible infection in it and I have to take very strong antibiotics. I have had to have daily changes of my bandages which has been horrible for my neighbour - she's been brilliant doing the redressing when at home, or the nurse when I go up to the Health Centre. It's leaking profusely and the bandages are soaking by the end of the day - now I've got more compression bandages on it and the leakage seems to have doubled!!! It does appear to be getting better, but I just have to be careful and look after it!!!

Then the other reason for not being on here is because I've been so busy making soft toys for my grandchildren - Josh has asked for a footballer and I have yet to see a pattern for making one of these. So it's mostly my take on a soft footballer toy....

Now do I do eyelashes?

Josh's favourite footballer is Portuguese Christiano Ronaldo. Personally I don't enjoy football, but I want to just do something my grandson will like. He's just got the fiddly finishing touches to do - socks and the ear-rings!!!

For Chloe, I'm making a pony, she loves My little pony etc so
I thought I'd make her one - again a lot of this is from my own imagination.

The hardest part has already been done and now there are the finishing touches needed to finish her off. I still have to put the mane and tail on......

This is the saddle for the pony. Looks like a blanket - but it's a saddle!!!

I've sort of done the facial features - now it's the reins and bridle that's required.

Right now the reins and bridle are on, and now all I have to do is put a mane and a tail on it. I'm also making a baby one for her, but I think I'll have to do some little pressies for my neighbours before I do that extra. Time is running by so quickly - help
