Well I gave up trying to get my new tv to work last night, got really upset because I couldn't get my satellite channels on my borrowed tv, my back ached from shopping and I was still miffed because of not being able to use my credit card to buy the tv in the first place!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Over the evening, I was practising what I was going to say to the salesman about his tv and what he could do with it!!!!!! I don't get het up very often, so I have to practice before I do anything!

So this morning, I thought to myself that I would give the tv one more try. I plugged everything in, and then discovered that somewhere along the line, the scart plug to the satellite receiver had slid out of the box!!!!! Hmm why didn't I spot that last night??????

So I plugged it back in again. Checked on everything else, to check things were plugged in where they should be and.................

It worked, still not with the independant channels showing, but there again I wouldn't need them with the satellite channels. I decided to fiddle about with the remote control and pressed a button called "source". Don't know what this means, but when I pressed it, a menu came up showing "tv", "scart 1", "scart 2" and so on. I pressed Scart 1 and hey.............satellite!!!!! Pressed Scart 2 and .................BT Vision!!!!

Whay-hay-ay. I was doing all the high fives to myself - was I chuffed or what???? I had followed the instructions in the pamphlet they gave me, but it didn't explain enough about external uses of other units and I managed to find it out for myself!!!

So no phone call to the store, just a very happy bunny!!!!

So this is what it looks like now. I would have felt so silly complaining to the store about their televisions and then to have found out it was because a scart plug had falled out!! Can you imagine it??????
