I woke up this morning to some yellowy thing shining in my windows!!! SUN!!!!!!.......... it was lovely and warm in the sun I admit and I did some housework in just a short sleeved top and joggers! It was very pleasant then I thought - might go out and take some photos of anything that might be of interest in the garden...........shall I put on my fleece? Good thing I did..............it was like walking into a freezer when I opened the door!!!!!!!!!! Wow it was such a contrast to indoors - lovely and sunny but even that sun couldn't warm up the temps, so it was a quick tour of the garden to see what was around - not much I can tell you.....................

You can see some of the trees have ivy growing up it and it needs trimming, so that's another job for poor old Fred the Shed when he comes back off his holidays!!!!

The Japanese anemones have been flowering since around June and there are still some stragglers..........

Then there was a lone pansy - poor little thing. I planted them out in April, and they didn't really do very well with such a lousy summer, but this one pansy was struggling to bloom.................

The nasturtiums are growing anywhere they can, even amongst the gravel on the drive. There were a few flowers, but to be honest ............. you had to look really closely to find them.

So I walked a bit further and looked up the middle driveway and it looks wintry already. Leaves are falling every second and it only needs a stiff breeze for the tree to become bare within minutes.

So I was only outside for about 10 minutes, by which time I was really really cold. It was so lovely and cosy coming indoors and relishing in the heat of the sun through the windows.
