Portchester Fort Bailey

Portchester Fort Bailey
The bailey, or perimeter wall of the fort. The Roman fort, probably built between AD 285 and 290, was laid out symmetrically. Around its perimeter were 20 regularly spaced D-shaped towers, of which 16 remain. The Roman walls stand to a height of 6.1 metres, though the upper parts are medieval.

En las fotografías se ve la mar o barcos ubicando el fuerte. Construcción de piedra con mucha historia a valorar por su época. Se aprecia un recinto grande, donde entraría un regimiento. Buenas noches, Rosa

The main shot is really nicely composed and the gentleman with the hat is a nice touch Rosa. The two PiPs give a nice sense of the scale of the building and he view in the main shot says a lot of why the castle was built where it was.
