Seatown, Dorset.

Seatown, Dorset.
Seatown is a coastal hamlet in Dorset, approximately 3 miles (4.8km) west of Bridport. It lies within the civil parish of Chideock. The coast at Seatown is part of the Jurassic Coast, a World Heritage Site stretching for 96 miles (154km). The first PiP shows The Anchor Inn, overlooking the cliffs and the second is a "Seaside Sauna" in the car park.

The perfect companions to your HFF, Rosalyn. I was hoping for a closer look at the paragliders and the seaside sauna is just great!

I wondered if you'd make the trek up the hill.............and you obviously did. Impressive!

I like your composition and the detail............viewed large you can even see the rockfall on the beach. Lovely in the sunshine...........and the para gliders are a nice bonus.

Two super PiPs as well...............I assumed you visited the pub, but maybe not the sauna :-))

Enjoy the rest of your weekend Rosa.

I cannot lie to you Keith....I didn't! I wish I had taken more photos but being with a friend I see once a year, there was a lot of chatting and eating involved! We will climb Golden Cap next time we meet, as long as we don't run out of time again :-)

Yes, I think the huge rockfall was in April this year. Apparently the biggest for 60 years!
Didn't have time for the sauna either Keith ;o)

Good evening and good rest of the weekend.

Another fine capture from this hamlet Rosa. Seeing this reminds us to what we thought whilst in Cornwall that there are some big climbs on the Dorset part of this path too. A bit dicey to walk below that Jurassic cliff. I can well understand the call of nice café in the village with perhaps a cream-tea.

Keep safe. Herb

Rosalyn Hilborne club has replied to Herb Riddle club
Thank you very much Herb. Yes very dangerous to walk below the cliffs, especially at West Bay. There have been some sad accidents there, as I am sure you are aware. The cream tea was in West Bay and cheesy chips in Seatown ;-)) Plenty of exercise needed after that!

All the best, Rosa.

This is an interesting looking place Rosa, plenty going on by the look of it. I like the perspective of your main shot and the path leading up to the top giving a great impression of the height. Nice of the paragliders to hang around for you;-)

Enjoy your Sunday, Doug

Rosalyn Hilborne club has replied to Doug Shepherd club
I couldn't believe I had passed the road by so many times and never ventured to Seatown Doug. It is so beautiful and I can't wait to visit again. Next time my friend and I hope to climb Golden Cap at 191m high! Thanks for your kind comments.

Sunday greetings,
Rosa.

A beautiful main image and the hang gliders are a real bonus. I've never seen a beachside sauna, but it sounds an interesting idea.

Rosalyn Hilborne club has replied to tiabunna club
Thank you George. The sauna is a first for me too :) At one point there were about 30 hang gliders in the air, but you know what it's like when you meet up with an old friend...more chatter than photos!

A wonderful view of the cliffs I wonder how long they will survive it's looks as though they are steadily crumbling, the inclusion of the microlights is a nice touch not my idea of fun !!!

I would be far too scared to go hang gliding....and too old Edna, but to sit and watch is better ;-)) I'm sure you would enjoy the little coves along Dorset's coast.
