Not an easy light to deal with Rosalyn, good work. Presumably the blue light is for protection of the exhibit.

Quite right Maurice. A lot of my photos were blurred. I would probably been better off using the camera on my mobile! Yes, the light and humidity is kept constant and of course, no flash!

I like the colour effects of the main photo, all museums seem to be so dark even if the subject is a lump of cast iron that wouldn't be affected by the light, maybe they are trying to deter photographers !!

I can understand why this particular one has to be kept dark, but it was so atmospheric and the best museum I have ever visited...so far :) Photography was allowed, but not flash.

No flash is pretty normal and no tripods, thank goodness for image stabilisation just need to practise controlled breathing !!!

Buena composición.
Parece un museo del Pan.
En Mayorga (Valladolid) visité uno maravilloso. Advertí que el mundo del pan es mucho más.

You are partly right...this was the kitchen (galley) of Henry VIII flagship, The Mary Rose, which was raised from the seabed in 1983. The museum is so interesting and on three floors with the skeleton of the ship visible on all three. I would love to visit a bread museum :)

It is The Mary Rose Museum in Portsmouth Historic Dockyard Janet. I'm sure you would love it. My ticket is valid for a year, so I will go back to see all the things I missed :)
Thank you for your kind comments.

OH! I missed that it was a museum. How nice that you'll be able to go back again and again. Museums need to be revisited...there's just too much to take in at any one time!

I love these two shots Rosa.............the warm colours, the light and the reflections all come together beautifully..............fascinating and a bit "otherworldly", if you see what I mean. The large ghostly figure in the main image is super reinforces my view.

My fave pics of your Dockyard visit so far! Handheld too...........even more impressive!

Rosalyn Hilborne club has replied to Keith Burton club
Aha you noticed the ghostly figure! I just mentioned it to Betty :)) In the top left quarter, just above the ship, you can see the glass lift. The view from that angle was superb, the whole height of the bow (?) of the wreck.

I think on this one I rested the lens on the glass :)

A great shot my friend. They were just finalising all this when we were in Portsmouth. The ship itself still being sprayed with liquid solution. Wonderful history for us in reality here and you have captured the moment as well as part of that history. Well done.

Thank you very much Herb. I hope you get to visit it again sometime. To see the ship from all floors and the hologrammes appearing on the ship at intervals were just amazing!

All the best, Rosa.
