Thank you Roger. A lovely little village and the castle is free to wander around and there is a lovely bridge over to the church, which were selling drinks and scones etc on the day I was there.

What a marvellous place for a walk and a visit , Rosa! It's a beautiful castle and its moat shows a charming reflection. A beautiful series, my favourite is the first...so romantic and finely captured!

Three lovely images Rosa. I don't know what it's like on the inside, but the outside looks to be in remarkable condition for it's age and history. You've captured it very well, especially the detail and textures in the stonework.

I especially like the main image...........it sets the castle ruins in context and I especially like the pretty church in the background and it's reflection in the moat. The people in shot give us some idea of scale too.

Thank you Keith. The inside is open all the way up to the elements, but it is so interesting. You can walk into the turrets and there are some nice views to be had through the openings. I will upload some more pic's soon.

Such a beautiful set of images of this castle.

Superb colours, especially the top one, where the sunny day seems to be appreciated by those passing by too.
I seem to remember visiting here many many years ago, but no pictures of the day survived.

The castle in right in the centre of the village, which also has a nice cafe and good pub. Not far from Frome, which is always nice to visit. Thank you for your kind comments.

Thank you Peter. There is also a lovely bridge that leads from the castle to the church. It is a fairly recent bridge but there is an old one crossing the river in the centre of the village.
