Down this lane to the garden centre. Oliver Cromwell is said to have passed this way with his army on their trek to do battle at Corfe Castle some little time ago! Gods Blessing Lane is said to be where his troops were blessed before the battle. Thanks for the info Keith.

Disappointed to see it's at a garden centre, I thought it was a relic from your Flower Power era !!!!! any ideas about the unusual road name. Did you get snow this morning ? it's melted now just wet and cold. Enjoy the rest of your day Rosalyn

Ha ha, I wish it was Peter!! I have tried to find out more about the charmingly named lane but haven't found anything yet. No snow but very windy down here. Have a good Sunday :)

The mini needs a family of sixties garden gnomes seated inside! Great idea and a very nicely composed series Rosa. Certainly an interesting name for the lane, must be some sort of story behind the choice.

Enjoy your Sunday, Doug

Ha ha, I would love to see a gnome family sitting inside! Yes there has to be a story to the name in the lane...I will continue to try and find out.

Sunday greetings, Rosa.

Hi Rosa, I am amazed that the plants and greenery can survive in that car bonnet as lighting at the back, I would have though, must be lacking. Anyway, a great capture well seen and brought to us here, along with the rest of the set.

Hi Herb, I expect they are in containers and maybe they change them around regularly. It is certainly a good talking point. Quite surprising how small the original mini was! I used to bomb around in mine at 40mph ;-)) Thanks for your nice comments.

Best wishes, Rosa.

I wonder if this could happen to me?. Sort of reminds me when I parked in Tesco's car park and then walked home, It was another two days before I wanted to use the car, that's when the panic set in!!!.

What a fantastic display.............I really like this Rosa.........unusual, bright and colourful..!!

Most cars have horse-power under the bonnet..............this one has flower-power :-))

If this is near the Barley Mow Inn Rosa........check out the link. There is one sentence that may answer your question about the origins of the road name :-)

Thank you so much for the link. I don't know the pubs in this area but if it's near Wimborne, I'm sure it's the one! So interesting, I can't wait to tell my daughter. I will add the information to the notes in the morning. I'm replying on my phone at the moment.

Have a good new week. Cheers, Rosa.
