Taken from the same spot as my previous upload, but looking the opposite way outside Gostinny Dvor on Nevsky prospekt in St Petersburg. Showing an in-your-face advertisement for Alexandr Peskov's January New Year one man show.

Jean, Gudrun, Tanja - Loughcrew and 2 other people have particularly liked this photo

Synchro-buffoonery sounds excellent to me, in the spirit of the Italo-Byzantine if anything is.
A great, polychromatic, street-scene.

I think poly-chromaticism is the only way forward for those who wish to see colours. Thanks for stopping by, Steve.

It was more difficult prior to 1918 when Lenin simplified it and removed four letters. Now there are only 33 ;-)
Merry Christmas and a New Year full of good health ....just in we do not trade words in the next couple of days.

This advertisement doesn't look much different from the ones you get to see here-only names and letters are different:-)

I rarely notice adverts, Gudrun but I literally bumped into this one so I took the time to study it.

Beautifully photographed night scene. I haven't been in St Petersburg since Breshnev.

Thank you kindly, Jean. If you went there now, the main difference is the traffic as all the roads are usually gridlocked and most of the old buildings have been restored, or at least given a colourful facelift.
