Regency Cafe

An Art Deco building in Regency Street, close to Horseferry Road. Opened in 1946, it's just a typical cafe apparently, but it stood out enough to deserve a picture as I was going past. I'm not the only one who's noticed though, as the building has featured in several films, TV programmes and adverts.

The road is Angel Hill, although it's obviously more of a square, dominated by the old Abbey Gate

The chalky and winding road

Week Lane is a chalk track leading from the Ringmer - Glynde road onto the Downs - it's a steady walk up, but never steep

Looking towards the south-east. Think that's Firle Beacon at the end of the ridge

There's a couple of steep climbs up from Lewes, but that didn't deter the walkers we encountered (we had the easier trail in the opposite direction)
