Balfron Tower is arranged such that residents get a sunset view over Central London to the west (subject to there being an actual sunset on the day of course). These days, The Shard provides striking reflections earlier in the day as well.

One of the artists I had a chance to speak to told me that she had only known both lifts to be simultaneously defective twice in the 8 months or so she had lived there, so she may not be so familiar with this view.

These run at every 3rd floor on the east side of the building. Why only every 3rd floor? Well, the flats are arranged such that some are on a single floor, while others have internal stairs either up or down. We were able to see examples of each.
