This fence protects those who venture onto the rocks at Riflebutts, one of the many surf breaks off the Western Australian coast at Margaret River. Quite how much protection it offers to walkers is a matter of dispute, but it is a fence nonetheless.

May I wish everyone a Happy Bench Monday. I hope you can find time to sit and contemplate the view today. This view is on Grand Canal in Mandurah. Sailing under the bridge ahead takes you to the estuary and then out into the Indian Ocean. Have a grand day and a fine week.
