Always was and always will be Aboriginal land.
Happy Fence Friday, everyone. May your day be the best it can be and your weekend be relaxing and calm.
Please also take a little time to think about the fight against injustice and prejudice wherever they may be (and no matter how entrenched they may appear) and resolve to speak out against them whenever possible.

This "house" floats in Folkestone Harbour in Kent, England. I think it was originally pink when it was made in 2017 but has faded over time. It was one of six made by the artist Richard Woods and placed around the town. They aren't real but were made to draw attention to the housing problems in the area. There are various articles on the interwebnetthingy about the project. The "house" has broken free of its moorings a couple of times but has never escaped to France which lies just over the horizon ... yet.
This one's an interview in 2017: www.theguardian.com/artanddesign/2017/aug/20/richard-woods-holiday-home-folkestone-triennial-interview
(Sorry I can never remember how to make it a nice neat fancy link. Blame Oldtimer's Disease.)

Happy Fence Friday to all. A simple Western Australian suburban fence: plain, ordinary, unexciting, but essential. It does its job, which is all anyone can ask.
Have a great day and a gentle weekend. I'll be away for much of the next four weeks so please, you all take care of you.

Two benches for the price of one. A veritable bargain.
Happy Bench (x2) Monday to everyone. Wherever you are, I hope you have some time to sit and enjoy the day. These two benches are on Hampton Street, the main street through the small and delightful town of Bridgetown WA.

May I wish a Happy Fence Friday to all and add my further wishes for a fine and delightful weekend for everyone.
This rickety-looking fence borders a path to the beach at Silver Sands/Watersun in Mandurah. The view is across Comet Bay to Halls Head on the right and to Seashells/Mandurah on the left. The dunes here offer protection from the sea and are themselves protected from predatory developers and real estate agents by legislation: a win-win.
