I've heard of posting early for Christmas, but this is a bit extreme even for Australians ... Taken this morning, 4th November!

A very Happy Fence Friday to all, and a happy All Saints' Day to those who believe in such things. I hope your day and your weekend are pleasant and calm. Look after you and yours and any others you meet.
I walk past this house two or three times a week and have photographed it many times but always been disappointed by the picture I've taken. I like this one, though, which shows that maybe perseverance pays off. The staining on the wall is from irrigation water from the bore which contains iron. We learn to live with it in this part of WA. Adds interest to the picture, I think.
Yippee!

A humpback calf enjoying life on its way back down south with its mum. The southern migration from the northern waters to the Southern Ocean has begun. This calf was born in the warmth of the Exmouth Gulf and Ningaloo in northern WA but will live in the cold waters of the south. It is probably less than four months old.
This was taken in Geographe Bay, off the south west coast of WA, which is a natural break point and resting area on the journey, being generally calm and sheltered. We saw plenty of whales this year, which is a very pleasing development.
I agree with the whale: life is grand, innit.

A very Happy Wednesday Wall to everyone. The coffee in this café certainly made me happy.
Have a great midweek and I hope the rest of it is fun and stress-free.

A Happy Bench Monday to everyone. I hope your week starts out well and steadily gets even better as next weekend approaches.
This bench overlooks part of Geographe Bay in Western Australia.

Happy Fence Friday to all. Have a grand day and enjoy every moment of the weekend that you can; if you can't enjoy it, then tolerate it by trusting that bad times will pass. You gotta be hopeful, entchya?

A Happy Wednesday Wall to everyone. Let's hope it's a good one and that the rest of the week brings calm and peace, both personally and generally.
This wall is part of the Trinity Walk mall in Wakefield, West Yorkshire. The letter D in the top right is the start of the Debenham's sign, although the store, meant to be the signature retailer for the mall, has now closed, as have a number of others. Internet shopping has a lot to answer for.

A Happy Bench Monday to everyone.
This is the Matagarup Bridge which carries pedestrians from East Perth to Perth Stadium. We walk across it when we join thousands of others to see the mighty (cough, splutter) Fremantle Football Club, the "Freo Dockers", play Australian Rules Football, the most exciting ball game in the world (of course, YMMV, but I know I'm right).
