The buds of the fern

The buds of the fern
I'm not sure what the plant is called, it's a type of palm frond and I noticed it had these seeds attached to them. They'll be in the sun, and so it shouldn't be long before they decide what to do! They are rather pretty though.

Andy Rodker, Janet Brien, Pat Del, Frans Schols have particularly liked this photo

Bedankt Frans.

How interesting, Jenny...I cannot tell you what they are but I don't believe they are from a fern, because ferns have their seeds underneath the leaves, from what I know anyway!

Fascinating. I loved your arrangement too! Nice job repotting!

Thank you very much for your sweet comments about my frosty springs! There you go again, making my day! :D You're the best! :)

Thanks Janet - I'm glad I actually put this picture up as I have been encouraged to look up the palm plant on the internet and I have found that it's an Areca Palm plant and these are the seeds of this palm. You never know - I might have baby palms soon!!! LOL

I am pleased with the result of our re-potting and it's encouraged me to do more re-potting. I have many odd plants in various containers with water to encourage roots, and they have really taken hold and I haven't got round to transferring them into pots - Emily has helped me so much to get eager to do it.
