Thinking about it John - does it really matter what it's called? I've got this bush/tree and it's lovely and it shouldn't really matter what it's name is.

True to a point Jenny, however I always like to know if possiblewhat I have in my garden, or see when walking.

This could be a form of Spirea, I have two of them and they can look fantastic, the Danish name is 'Sne-drive busk' translates to 'Snow-drift bush'. A second possible is one of the 'Cottoneasters' also an early flowering bush.
