Raindrops on my mombretia leaves

Raindrops on my mombretia leaves
I woke up this morning to this lovely sight. It had obviously been raining heavily during the night, but now it had stopped leaving gorgeous droplets like this.

Fred Fouarge, Andy Rodker, Pam J, Janet Brien have particularly liked this photo

WONDERFUL!!! Jenny, you got a pair of wonderful pictures and how fantastic to see them as a pair. I'm so tickled that your insets are working out so well! :)

It's such fun to do this that I'm often tempted to go back through my pictures and turn them all into inset presentations! :D

Thank you so much for your lavish comments on my snowflake image! It is a huge surprise to me as well...trying to get a picture of a snowflake seems to be impossible...until there it is on your screen! I have captured a few snowflakes in the past but not like this. It is amazing.

Thanks for telling me about your day, and about the annoyed seagulls on your neighbor's roof. It really is so interesting for me to think about. We don't get seagulls here but they were a familiar and common sight in San Francisco. As a kid they were always in the schoolyards. And they are everywhere in the city, not just the beach. I think the gulls view the entirety of San Francisco as their domain and urban beach! :D Still, the idea of having them nest on your roof is remarkable to me!

By the way, the frogs WERE singing...they are going crazy now, despite the cold! :)

Oh I am pleased the frogs were singing - they are probably going crazy because the females were doing what any decent female frog would do on a freezing cold day - stay hidden in the warm.

Yes it is wonderful having the seagulls using my roof and chimney pots as their safe nesting place, even though I moan about the idiot chicks falling off the roof onto my porch roof. I fully understand why my neighbours paid for a man to come and install bird repellants there, because they were being divebombed all the time. It's strange but I never got divebombed at all - maybe it was because I leave them alone and also talk to them!!
