well done (with a loose shutter curtain, wow!)

Actually, the shutter curtain is broken. So I taped it out of the way and with the box open that allows the light through to the film, I had to leave the lens cap on until I was ready to start my timed exposure. I stood to the side of my camera (mounted on a tripod), blocking the light from the street light behind me, removed the lens cap, then let it expose for 7 seconds. When 7 seconds was finished, I carefully put the lens cap back on, making sure not to bump the camera before the lens was covered. It was a complicated process, but at least this way, now I can say I've used this camera because I have a photo to prove it.

I have three photo albums that each hold 200 photos. Each page holds two images, so at the top, I have a picture of the camera. At the bottom, a picture taken with this camera. That way, I can show the albums to people and they can see what the camera looks like and what pictures taken with the camera look like. I have three albums because each album only holds 100 cameras and I'm up to the 230s right now. I love making themed photo albums.

The process that you described is exactly what I thought would be :)
I am doing it every time when use my pinhole camera :D
