This bell originally hung at the Ebenezer Methodist Church, which was built in 1838 and located about a mile from this Methodist church in town. When the old church was torn down in the early 1980s, they placed the bell here. This is Fuji's premier black and white film, in my opinion. When I shoot it and develop it in Caffenol, it looks marvelous. It's my favorite black and white film/developer combination. They stopped making it a couple years back, (to my dismay!), but fortunately I picked up about 50 rolls before it disappeared.

I pointed my camera at the North Star to see if I would get some star trails with a long exposure. It worked, but it really needs to be done at a place where there aren't street lights and automobiles driving past. The lower edge shows this extraneous light that it picked up, with a street light on both sides, just out of the frame and below the bottom. But not bad considering I was trying to use a broken camera. The shutter curtain was loose, so I taped it out of the way and just took the lens cap off when I was ready to start my exposure. "....Is The Loneliest Night Of The Week." This is the downtown area of my little town, Norris City. It’s decorated for Christmas and holidays can be lonely when your loved ones have passed on. This camera is broken and I didn’t think I would ever get to use it. But, because it’s broken in a certain way, namely the shutter curtain is loose, I was able to improvise and get it to take some images. I've been pouring some new and improved back steps, one at a time. You can see I'm ready to do the next level. You can see how crooked the old steps were and the fact that the top step was over 12 inches high. Plus, some of the plaster has cracked off the wall. The new steps will cover those cracks. This is a 10-minute long timed exposure that shows star trails crossing over my back yard. The real bright trail is Jupiter. Not bad for a 70 year old camera! The dotted trail was an airplane that happened to cross right through the middle of my exposure.
