Der Marienkäfer hat knallgelbe Flügeldecken und ein ebenfalls gelbes Halsschild.Er trägt er in der Regel 22 schwarze Punkte (11 auf jeder Flügeldecke). Auch der Halsschild ist meist mit 5 markanten schwarzen Flecken verziert.Er ist mit ca. 3 bis 4,5 mm recht klein,er ernährt sich ausschließlich von Echten Mehltaupilzen, die als weißlicher Belag auf Pflanzenblättern wachsen!!

La coccinelle possède des élytres et un pronotum d'un jaune vif. Elle présente généralement 22 points noirs (11 sur chaque élytre). Le pronotum est lui aussi généralement orné de 5 points noirs distinctifs. Mesurant environ 3 à 4,5 mm, elle est assez petite et se nourrit exclusivement d'oïdium, un champignon qui se développe sous forme d'un dépôt blanchâtre sur les feuilles des plantes.
