Today we are in the district of Wick, Caithness not in the town itself but a large bay on the outskirts,
This image shows defensive position of Sinclair Girnigoe Castle, with a backdrop of Sinclair Bay.
Today images are fro 2011 therefore quality may suffer a little

Way Out
The entrance and exit to Lybster Harbour in Caithness, Scotland,
The Lighthouse dates from 1884 and the ropes hanging over the wall are keeping shellfish and
Crustaceans fresh until the lorry collects, because of the distance they don't call every day.
HFF and a good week
Harbour Entrance.
Only a few minutes up the coast today a short tri from Latheronwheel is Lybster Harbour once one of the largest North Sea Herring ports in the area.

Herring Plant and Smoke House.
Herring processing plant and smoke house on the quayside at Lybster Harbour,
It is now Waterlines Heritage Center.
Note the smoke stained walls around the entrance to the smoke house (on the right)

North Sea Port
Lybster Harbour from half way up the steep hill which is the only way up to the village,
A large view is rather rewarding in my opinion
