Norman/|Gothic

The historic Church of St Peter and St Paul in North Curry, a village in Somerset, England. It's a prominent medieval parish church often called the "Cathedral of the Moors" due to its impressive size and grandeur relative to the surrounding low-lying Somerset Levels landscape. The church is Grade I listed by Historic England, The main structure visible today dates primarily from around 1300, featuring elements like the lower tower stages, transepts, and nave in a transitional Norman-to-Gothic style. Only the north doorway survives from the original 9tn century Norman building. It's known for its striking architecture, including a distinctive tower, ornate porch with statuary, large window. HWW to all !

Fire ?

BA 220, (Spindrift) Prawn Trawler tied up in Girvan Harbour. Built: Launched on 22 August 1974 by Alexander Noble & Sons Ltd in Girvan, Scotland (a respected local boatyard known for building sturdy wooden or composite fishing vessels). The prefix BA is for the port of Ballantrae down the coast. Despite many searches I am unable to find any information as to the cause of the damage, electrical or engine I would guess, however lack of news or search engine information would indicate no injuries were sustained! Hopefully a HFF and good weekend to all

Sea Wall to Sea Front.

Ayr is a town situated on the southwest coast of Scotland. A former royal burgh, today it is the administrative centre of South Ayrshire Council, and the historic county town of Ayrshire. With a population of 46,982, Ayr is the 15th largest settlement in Scotland and second largest town in Ayrshire by population. In 16.9 format therefore a large view may be better, HWW!

Cambeltown, Kintyre.

Back to 2023 for this shot of Davaar Island, Campbeltown Loch! Davaar Island is a small tidal island located at the mouth of Campbeltown Loch, off the east coast of the Kintyre Peninsula in Argyll and Bute, western Scotland. It's connected to the mainland by a natural shingle causeway called the Dhorlin, which is exposed at low tide, allowing visitors to walk across—typically taking around 30–40 minutes each way. HBM and a good week to all !

Levels River,

An overcast day on the Somerset Levels and the River Tone at New Bridge, Curry Moor! The Tone which flows into the River Parrett and enters the sea at Bridgwater bay is one of seven major waterways that keep the levels dry, most of the time anyway,
