Oregon City Williamette Falls Dam (#0155)
Williamette Falls Dam – I had just discovered this location last August and was quite impressed both by the view and the history it represented of the greater Portland area. Put very briefly, the hydro power coming from the falls was key in the Portland area early lumber processing industry and then, with the construction of the dam, hydroelectric power for manufacturing and municipal development. For more detail, see my earlier picture on Ipernity: www.ipernity.com/doc/donbrr/43325264 or Flickr: www.flickr.com/photos/donbrr/29919398963
The pictures in this later set are taken from along the McLoughlin Promenade, reached by the Oregon City Municipal Elevator.

There's one or two places where you can see over the shrubbery!
