Nubieber CA BNSF (#0081)

Nubieber CA BNSF (#0081)
BNSF freight in Nubieber (even though BNSF labels it Bieber). The line is part of a line built in the 1930's by Great Northern from Klamath Falls which goes past Lava Beds National Monument and connects with the Feather River Route at Keddie. See Tule Lake National Wildlife Refuge BNSF (0989) and Feather River Keddie Wye (0194)

So, there's a Bieber and a Nubieber. I've never heard of the "Nu" one and now I have. I like the bulldog-ish look of the BNSF locos and also like this shot.

I wanted to try for a couple of more angles to get a better shot (e.g., without a power line across the middle), but I was being watched by some BNSF person so shot this quickly.

Oh -haha - I'm so used to power lines in just about every shot of mine that my brain does an automatic self-edit! Right, gotta watch out for those yard "bulls." ; )
