SF Maritime National Historical (1405)
On both ends of Aquatic Park are these wonderful streamline-moderne facilities that are inaccessible. Per a ranger/volunteer at the SF Maritime National Historical Park, both are restrooms that are closed due to the park service not having the resources to keep them from being used illicitly (e.g., as drug-shooting spaces). I found that to be a very frustrating example of our (America's) inability to get funding priorities straight. It's a wonderful piece of architecture and it seems that it would not take a lot of money to come up with a creative use that would show them off -- particularly in a city that seems to be awash in funding for new and expensive housing..
