Amboy, CA (0008)

A few miles east of Amboy, in the middle of nowhere on the former route 66, what looks to be a replica of an Asian statue. There was another one about a quarter mile further east. There were no signs indicating why they were there. Considering that the road is used by some who are headed to Las Vegas, my first thought was that someone had bought them at the demolition of some Las Vegas restaurant, and then just put them here.
