Saguaro National Park east (2268)
From the Cactus Loop Drive in the Saguaro National Park Rincon Mountain (east) district. It was about 106F (41C) and I was on my last day of travelling, so just some pictures from very short hikes off the loop drive.

It's a cholla cactus and some cholla turn purple during drought, which is what we're having. It doesn't mean that it's dead. See the link below:
