Wounded Knee, SD (0253)

Wounded Knee, SD (0253)
Supposedly the sight of the Wounded Knee Massacre, the last battle of the American Indian Wars when, per Wikipedia article on it, 150 Lakota were killed and 51 wounded during indiscriminate fire by the 7th Cavalry. Despite the historic importance of the location, I couldn't actually see it to get more details. Probably due to the unemployment in the area, when I drove up I was immediately and aggressively pursued by multiple vendors and so drove away from the area.

It was a spur of the moment decision to try to find Wounded Knee, and it was suprisingly difficult to get information. Next time I'll check with you.
