The block of buildings including the Cove Cafe. The businesses in this stretch have been stable for many years. On the far right are a pizza shop, barber shop (no sign visible), and Rossi's deli that have been neighborhood institutions for decades. The clothing store (next to the deli) has changed names a few times, but has remained a clothing store. Next to the clothing store is the Cove (see adjacent picture). On the far left of the picture is a gay bar that has changed names multiple times over the decades (e.g., Daddy's, 440) but remains quite busy. (Part of a series of photos documenting the parts of the Castro district that have been significant parts of gay culture since at least the 1980's.)
