Death Valley Junction Amargosa 3

In the center of Death Vally Junction, you see what looks like a large, more-or-less abandoned, motel -- with a theater labeled Amargosa Opera House. To make it even more surprising, the building has long colonnaded walks and there is even a wide (crumbling) sidewalk along the highway (sidewalks are rare in small desert towns.) It's so startling to see all of this in the middle of nowhere, that if you're tired you might wander if you're dreaming. The building was once the offices of a borax mining operation, and the Opera house does put on productions.
